Characterization of Two Types of Polylactic Acid Coating Loaded with Gentamicin Sulphate Deposed on AZ31 Alloy

This paper compares two types of polylactic acid (PLA) coating on AZ31 alloy obtained by dip and electrospinning. Both were loaded with gentamicin sulphate (GS) the drug-loading efficiency release assessed. A higher encapsulation GS was seen for (73% 49.53%, respectively) compared to nanofiber (65% 12.37%, respectively). Furthermore, antibacterial effect samples without assessed using Gram-negative (Escherichia coli) Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacteria, showing that drug encapsulated are more resistant bacteria than other samples. The electrochemical data reveal a stability in SBF surface dipping PLA shows porosity 46% sample through 32% nanofibers, which is accordance BET analysis results. Moreover, adhesion strength AZ31-PLA-dip (4.99 MPa) AZ31-PLA-nanofibers (1.66 MPa). All structurally, morphologically, topographically characterized.
